Fucina d’Efesto in few words
Fucina d’Efesto is a Rottweiler Kennel located in the centre of Rome, Italy, few steps from the Arco di Travertino Metro Station (Line A).
The name derives from the forge of the ancient Greek mythology god Hephaestus, located inside the Volcano Etna. Deep there, Hephaestus used the black stone and the fiery lava to forge unbreakable metal. The analogies with Rottweiler’s coat colors and his strength of spirit are evident, as it is strong the link we feel with the Etna.
Fucina d’Efesto is owned by Giovanni Di Pino .
Thus, Fucina d’Efesto mission is to breed Rottweiler only pushed by passion; we do not see breeding as a source of money. This has deep implication in the breeding strategy: very few, top quality, litters each year with the best stallions around the world, with no fear of the distances.
All of our bitches went, or will go as soon as they reach the right age, through all the steps needed to certify their healthiness status, behavioural and exterior quality. This means hip and elbow displasia control, ZTP, BH, IPO. We have particular attention to be part of the dog-show world, in order to receive unbiased confirmations of our dogs’ value.
It’s a while we are in this field, we have been learning a lot from friends and colleagues – here a special thanks goes to Fabrizio Palmeri and the whole kennel Somerweide (Tullio, Piero) and to Alberto Passerini of Anfiteatro Flavio -, but even more we hope to learn in the future.
All in all, Fucina d’Efesto is just a sincere attempt to live tight in contact with top quality Rottweilers and especially with their supercute puppies.
Indeed, Rottweiler is more than a dog, he is a son, a friend, a defender and often a mirror that allows you to look deep inside yourself. This has been taught to me by Zico dell’Agros, the one who made me know the true Rottweiler soul, to which I felt in love.
I can only wish to you that you will find such a special soul in one of my puppies.
